Free Speech Media (formerly FineNet [formerly The FINE Network]) was created on October 1, 2023, as a way to consolidate a school topic on computer science, but over time it grew into something more. With the release of version 1.2, the site's creator, Elisey Dereka, began running a Discord channel with the progress.
